The Oettingen City Run takes place as part of the "Summer in the City" festival on the second Saturday in August. The events include a 0.8 km children's race (up to the year of birth 2017) without timekeeping, a 1.4 km youth race (up to the year of birth 2012) with timekeeping, and a 7 km main race (runners and walkers) from the year of birth 2011 onwards. The start for the youth race is at 4:20 PM and for the main race at 5:00 PM, both at the Oettingen marketplace. All participants in the children's and youth races will receive a medal.
